About Jubal
Jubal Anderson Early was a Confederate general who was born and raised in Franklin County, Virginia. Born in 1816, he practiced law before and after serving in the Army of Northern Virginia.

The Homeplace
Jubal Early’s childhood homeplace is located in the Red Valley section of Franklin County, Virginia. It has been restored and is open to the public during certain hours.
